We recognise the importance of Project Management as a Core skill to be embraced as a 'Must have' as opposed to a Nice to have'!

Nigel Gillingham - Partner

Nigel Gillingham is an expert in helping businesses, their leaders and their people define and deliver their strategic or transformational changes through the practical application of project & programme management and change management principles. Accreditated in Change Management and Project & Programme Management, Nigel is an experienced project & programme manager, coach and tutor primarily working with clients, suppliers and customers in the telecommunication sector.

Prior to setting up his own partnership Nigel worked for British Telecommunications Plc. Instrumental in the introduction of BT’s Project Management eXcellence framework, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting on the initial introduction of a Goal Directed Project Management based approach. Through continuous evolution these highly interactive and practical workshops - which focus more on team-working and engagement than slavishly following a process - continue to receive exceptional feedback.

Nigel has worked on a number of key change programmes for BT including the world leading introdution of their 21st Century Network in which he not only led an operational delivery project but also provided coaching and facilitation support to the Operational Management team and their delivery teams. Nigel is passionate and enthusisatic about project management as he is of driving his dream Dodge Viper sports car for children’s charity events.

Adrian Johnson - Partner

Adrian Johnson is a highly energised and experienced project manager, coach and facilitator who is recognised for his expertise in helping and supporting business leaders to define, design and implement projects and programmes in pursuit of business goals and strategy.

Prior to setting up his own partnership, Adrian worked for BT and was a fundamental part of the design and delivery of internally delivered project management training workshops. Adrian developed an internal licensing and development framework to aid progression through practitioner, coach and tutor levels and was responsible for the development of a number of GDPM practitioners to licensed tutor status.

Adrian is an accredited 6 Sigma Black Belt who is conversant with all aspects of project and change management principles. He has worked within and supported the delivery of a number of BT’s strategic programmes; he has managed many major projects including the development of a Balanced Scorecard and process performance measures for BT’s external suppliers. Adrian had the additional responsibility of managing BT’s Project Management eXcellence framework.

A qualified FA coach who is an electrician and telecoms engineer by profession, Adrian has worked with people at all levels. He is passionate in all that he does and his infectious enthusiasm coupled with a strong belief in understanding the human factors, and reinforcing the importance of the team without heavy reliance on process or systems produces collaborative and beneficial results.

Jon Dean - Specialist Consultant

Jon Dean is a specialist in helping businesses to develop and achieve their strategic change goals through the practical application of project management and change management principles, and the coaching and development of leaders. He has worked with clients in the telecommunication, aerospace, defence, healthcare and industrial products sectors.

Jon is a freelance consultant specialising in GDPM and the Change management aspects of project management and has lead the change aspects of several large change projects including SAP and Oracle implementations and the introduction of new product development processes. Jon originally introduced GDPM into BT whilst working for PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting.

An aeronautical engineer by profession, Jon encourages a broad approach to project management, where team-working issues receive as much attention as the logical sequencing of activities. Earlier, Jon played a leading role in BAE Systems’ “Benchmark” program, one of the most extensive culture change initiatives ever attempted. Jon is an enthusiastic facilitator whose sessions have wowed groups on both sides of the Atlantic, Africa, Australia and the Middle East. He also plays a mean guitar.

Shona Mackintosh - Specialist Consultant

Shona Mackintosh is an experienced professional with an in-depth knowledge of both project and change management. As a senior HR generalist, she has a track-record of bringing challenging projects to a successful conclusion. A skilled presenter, accustomed to helping clients at all corporate levels work through problem-solving processes, leading to the implementation of new approaches, structures and methods.

Shona has worked in the Telecommunications, Further Education, Housing, Hospitality and not-for-profit sectors. Shona holds a BA from Edinburgh University, is IPD qualified a licensed trainer for Goal Directed Project Management and accredited in AIM (Accelerating Implementation Methodology). She has recently undertaken an Open University Diploma in Spanish.

Dave Green - Specialist Consultant

Dave Green is an experienced project manager having worked on many high profile delivery projects in BT. He delivered the network and operational infrastructure for BT Fusion - the worlds first fixed/mobile telephone service. This involved managing a cross industry team from suppliers to BT network, operations, finance and marketing teams. He has also managed other complex projects including the UKs first distributed antenna system for mobile phone coverage and billing and service management systems.

Dave has recently undertaken a career change having recently gained a Post Graduate Certificate of Education and is currently teaching science to 11-18 year olds in a local secondary school. He holds a first class honours degree in Physics from Manchester University, a Masters degree in Telecommunications from the University of Essex and is a member of the APM and IET. Dave is a licensed tutor for Goal Directed Project Management and a keen Barbershop singer although he doesn’t like to tell everyone!

Bill Dunn - Specialist Consultant

Bill Dunn is a highly experienced project manager, trainer, training designer, facilitator and coach who has a successful track record of delivery. Bill has helped and supported business leaders and project personnel in successfully defining, designing and implementing projects and programmes in pursuit of business goals and strategy. Bill has also worked on the frontline with people at all levels as a trouble shooter bringing benefit to many business relationships by leading workshops that identified bottlenecks issues and conflict and devising and implementing action plans for resolution.

Bill worked for BT and was a fundamental part of the design and delivery of internally delivered project management training workshops. Bill is a licensed tutor for Goal Directed Project Management and was responsible for the development of a number of GDPM practitioners to licensed tutor status.

A qualified LTA Tennis coach and Mountain Bike leader. Bill is wedded to a continuous learning lifestyle and is a natural people person.
