4. Milestone Contract Definition
The Milestone Contract Definition is the delivery contract between the Project manager and the Milestone owner and provides further granularity in the form of high level activities needed to satisfy the definition of the end state for the Milestone. This can be supported by further detailed activity plans or even MS project plans.
There will be a definition for each Milestone. Each of the high level activities will have a corresponding success measure with activity and measure references. It is the responsibility of the Milestone Team led by the Milestone Owner to devise actions to achieve each of the activities and ultimately the end state definition which must be expressed in outcome terms. This single page document is a quick reference source for the Project Manager to assess progress against the plan.
